The L.I.T Gaelic Grounds in Limerick will host the qualifier clash of Mayo and Galway in Round 4 of the All-Ireland qualifiers.

Tickets are now on sale

The first meeting of the Connacht rivals in a qualifier will take place in Limerick on Saturday evening at 7pm, with the CCCC stating a Connacht venue was "not feasible" and there was no agreement between the counties to toss for home advantage. Galway GAA officials contacted Mayo this morning however Mayo GAA declined the offer to do the toss.

With round 2 of the senior football championship completed this weekend there is a certain pattern beginning to emerge as we look across the three groups and look foward to round three in seven or eight weeks.

Only three of the eighteen teams have full points and also three teams are still pointless while two teams are one point and eight on two while two are on three so its a mixed bag of stats.

Group 1 Mountbellew-Moylough have full points after beating Monivea-Abbey and Caherlistrane while the next four teams Killannin, An Chreathrú Rua, Maigh Cuilinn and Monivea-Abbey are on two points with Caherlistrane at the bottom on zero points

In round three Killannin play Caherlistrane, Monivea-Abbey v An Chreathrú Rua and Maigh Cuilinn play Mountbellew-Moylough

Group 2 Corofin and Claregalway lead the group on full points followed by Tuam Stars and St James’s on two points each  and this is the only group where two teams are pointless  Annaghdown and Leitir Móir share that unwanted honour

In round three Claregalway play St James’, Tuam Stars v Leitir Móir and Corofin meet Annaghdown

Group 3-City sides St Michaels and Salthill-Knocknacarra are in pole position with three points each while An Spidéal and Bearna are a point behind on two with Milltown and Killererin on a point each

Round three fixtures An Spidéal play Killererin, Bearna v Milltown and a city battle between Salthill-Knocknacarra and St Michael’s
