Requirement

Awareness in Child protection (3 hr workshop)
Vetting is paramount if involved in any capacity with young people and Vulnerable Adults, Vetting Act 2015.
Must have completion to commence duty.
Vetting Reference number provided.

E-Vetting

Go to vetting information on the website
Complete your details and upload either a copy of your birth cert or Drivers licence and utility bill.
Submit and then you will receive an email from the NVB (National Vetting Bureau).
Respond or your application will leave the system after 30 days despite you getting regular reminders.
Presently it take 3 weeks for a disclosure due to the high volume nationally.
You and your Club secretary will receive notification separately.
You must provide your completed Garda reference number prior to taking on a role.

The Club or Organisation is responsible for all recruitment which should be robust.

Vetting applications are now being cancelled if the role does not specify role with Children or Vulnerable adults.
Examples are player, parent or member. The applicants will have to reapply and put in "Coach" if they are coaching or Féile Host Family, if hosting, which only lasts for the duration of the hosting period.

All Children Inclusion

All Children should be playing at all times up to U11 (GO Games) no exceptions at either training or any other gathering.
No competitions - no cups, no trophies.
No winners or losers.
No young children should be standing on the sidelines watching their friends and peers play.
Its all about participation and enjoyment.
Its about the development of all young players whether weak or strong.
Its about developing the fundamental skills of both Gaelic football and hurling.
Its about positive reinforcement for all Children to promote their decision making and rotating in different positions all the time playing and using both sides in a spirit of fair play in a safe environment.
Remember the late developer will become a competent player if given the chance.

Give Respect, Get Respect.
